Well after all, they are all very creative and artistic, and
whilst they had never produced a model railway before I felt sure that with
their ability a reasonable layout could be produced fairly quickly for me. Perhaps most importantly though, is that my
normally selfish hobby could be turned around into a family activity where we
could all have some input, build some confidence and maybe have some fun along
the way.
This centred around a Hornby train set purchased from Argos,
and with various additions from a local model shop.
This would never have won any beauty competitions, but it
was fully working and functional and think it exceeded all of my original
